Being too prepared

If there’s one thing I did before leaving home, it’s a lot of reading.

I read a book about travellig, one about South America, and one about Peru. I have found them all to be helpful. However there is such a thing as being too prepared.

“If you are fair skinned and blonde, expect a lot of attention”. Yep, I can see that.

“In Peru you are presumed guilty until proven inocent”…. Right…..

“Food tends to center on a healthy staple combination of rice and beans” I hate beans! That does it!

The books are being safely put away and I’m going to enjoy a bit of blissful ignorence and deal with the surprise when I get there.
