Chaos.
Walking up the main streets of Lima was quite a sight, and sound. The streets are packed with people and the roads even more. If there are four lanes, you are guarantied to have at least five cars accross them, more often six. They all happily over and undertake whenever it suits. I say happily, I’m not sure as they NEVER STOP BEEPING! ever. At cross roads there is often a person controlling the trafic with a wistle, but I find it hard to believe any drivers can see or hear them.
My second impression: impressive.
The buildings are something to marvel at.
